It is a very sad day, when good doctors are forced out of practice due to practicing outside what is designated as the standard of care by our cut, drug or burn medical establishment. American medicine is not proactive, but reactive and does not consider that the body has an incredible ability to heal itself and that American medicine is not about finding a cure, but maintaining a disease in order to keep people buying drugs. It is all about money and Pharmaceutical companies are big corporations with lots of power and will go after anyone who attempts to compete by practicing medicine in a more wholistic manner.
I have become so disillusioned with American medicine that I go to a Mexican MD/Homeopath who was trained in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Argentina and Mexico. He has a broad knowledge and training that is rare among American practitioners. The reason for this is, American doctors are forced to practice the way they are told even if there is a better way.
We have one of the worst medical systems in the world. I read recently that Oregon and Washington were going to start training Naturopaths in Pharmaceutical medicine, which runs totally counter to the beliefs of a Naturopath. The reason for this is that they have a shortage of doctors in those two states. It is no wonder since Washington has gone after Jonathan Wright several times and Oregon forced Dr. Royal out and now Dr. Gambee. I hope the Naturopaths refuse to write prescriptions as in my opinion the Oregon medical establishment has brought the doctor shortage upon themselves when they force perfectly good doctors out of business with their Nazi tactics. The standard of care developed by medical board members that are often affiliated with the drug companies and the insurance companies. They want to see to it, that we keep buying drugs and that we don't tap out the insurance companies with too many expensive alternative treatments. What the insurance companies don't get is that Alternative medicine often heals the patient so that they are less expensive in the long run.
Unfortunately, I have seen many good Lyme literate doctors who also have lost their licenses due to the bias and ill informed politics of the American medical establishment such as Infectious Disease Society of America IDSA.
Doctor Gambee, if you get your license back and I hope you do, come to Alaska where the rules are more inclusive of alternative medicine. In fact my alternative MD is booked up four months in advance and could probably use some help. I am very sorry that this has happened to you and your family and I am also sorry for the many patients who relied on your wisdom and expertise in medicine. May God Bless you, your family and your patients.
